2010 Shiraz Image

2010 Shiraz

James Halliday Tasting Review - Rating: 94. Good depth and hue; a medium- to full-bodied, supple and harmonious shiraz which won the trophy for Best McLaren Vale Shiraz at the McLaren Vale Wine Show '12. Its regional expression of shiraz is effortless, with the full range of black fruits, fine tannins and a breath of dark chocolate.

Trophy & Gold Medal - Cartesian McLaren Vale Wine Show 2012
Silver Medal - Cairns Wine Show 2013
Bronze Medal - Royal Melbourne Wine Awards 2013

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Deep red brick bordering on black colour, and at first it emits a chocolate and mocha aroma developing into a Christmas cake like waft. A rich dry red style with sweet grape and fruit flavours. Liquorice with a Christmas cake undertone. There is intensity on the palate with a slight dusty wave developing. This outlines the use of new and old French oak.
Winemaker Notes
A trophy winner for us, complex with a lovely velvety finish.
Food Pairing Notes
Winter lamb shanks
