Doc Adams Wines

2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Image

2012 Cabernet Sauvignon

A medium to full-bodied cabernet that would (and has) gained attention in cabernet classes at wine shows where heavy hitters do well. It's also strongly regional, with black chocolate and liquorice strap alongside the full-blown cassis fruit and generous, ripe tannins.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The 2012 Doc Adams Cabernet Sauvignon colour is dark to black in appearance with a reddish hue. The aromas are typical of Cabernet Sauvignon with a slight peppermint to mocha which is evident across the 2012 vintage in McLaren Vale. The palate is rich and balanced with explosions of blackcurrant. Its alcohol to fruit weight is really well balanced. The oak hints are very well integrated and leave a complex final finish on the palate.
Winemaker Notes
Velvety tannin and choc mint aromas
Food Pairing Notes
Seafood of any nature, meatballs, beef and venison.
