Doc Adams Wines

2012 Shiraz

2012 Shiraz

James Halliday Tasting Review - Rating 94. A prime example of McLaren Vale shiraz, the bouquet offering plum, blackberry and regional dark chocolate, all dutifully repaid on the medium-bodied palate; here gently savoury tannins and a dab of French oak complete the picture.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The 2012 Doc Adams Shiraz colour is red to deep purple with a black and dark appearance. Leaping from the glass are aromas of chocolate and liquorice with complex earthy and spicy undertones. A vibrant rich dry style with sweet fruit flavours and like the aromas featured they develop on the palate. Intense with a slight dusty appearance due to oak handling, chocolate and mocha flavours are present.
Winemaker Notes
Big, rich earthy flavours with tannins to match the fruit flavour.
Food Pairing Notes
A big hearty, meaty pie
