Doc Adams Wines

2013 GSM

2013 GSM

Our blend is Grenache 60% Shiraz 20% and Mataro 20%. A complex richness of chocolate, cherry ripe and caramel.

James Halliday review 95/100. The three varieties are usually synergistic in McLaren Vale, but here brilliantly so; the colour is vibrant, the flavours a chorus of red fruits and Cherry Ripe on the finish; the tannins are soft but important.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Rich vibrant red colours, at first it emits a spicy and cherry ripe aroma that later develops into blackcurrant. The palate is a rich dry red style with lasting flavours. Spicy and chocolate liquorice undertones lead to intensity and complexity on the palate. A very smooth and elegant wine. Some touches of oak influence is prevalent. New Russian and old French oak has been utilised.
